The purpose of this position is to serve as a Full Assistant to a supervisor who has responsibility for providing overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions.Serves as the highest-level subject matter expert for work accomplished in the direct input or participates in meetings and/or conferences with engineering, production control, and other personnel involving the initial analysis of long-range work requirements.Reviews immediate and long-range requirements of organizational segments and groups supervised based on workload forecasts, and develops, for approval by their superiors, plans for meeting long-range resource requirements.Plans the allocation of resources and the distribution of work to subordinate supervisors, and determines the internal plan to be followed by subordinate supervisors in applying those resources to accomplish work operations.Participates fully with higher level management officials and staff organizations in studying and developing recommendations concerning changes in specification requirements, work techniques, and standards; revision of organizational structures, responsibilities, and relationships; and improvement or modernization of equipment, facility layout, and workflow.Assigns and explains work requirements and operating instructions to subordinate supervisors, sets deadlines, and establishes the sequence of work operations to be followed.Participates with management officials and/or engineering personnel to develop qualitative and/or quantitative work work operations with the supervisors of other organizations and functions.Develops and establishes internal procedures (e.g., meetings, content, and timing of reports) to be followed by subordinate supervisors to assure effective control and direction of work activities, organizations, and personnel supervised.Identifies long-range training needs for all levels of subordinate supervisors and workers and submits justification and funding requests to superiors and arranges for the accomplish of the training.Develops, publishes, and ensures employee compliance with standing operating procedures for the activity supervised.Implements and complies with agency, state, and Federal regulatory Occupational Safety and Health, and environmental requirements.Ensures use of quality conformant products through compliance with established materials shelf life programs.Ensures all aspects of Force Protection to include physical security, facility and vehicle key control, property accountability, access control and employee protection in accordance with established policies and regulations.Implements procedures to account for real property, installation property, MTO&E; (Modified Tables of Organization and Equipment) property, TDA (Tables of Distribution and Allowances) property, and installed equipment located at or assigned to the facility in accordance with state and Federal regulations and policies.May be required to serve as a member of the Command Maintenance Evaluation Team (COMET).

Qualifications: Do you possess specialized experience in directing, planning and organizing the work within a shop? Do you have knowledge of the various lines of work performed within a shop? Do you have experience as a supervisor and have the ability to communicate with others?
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: For successful performance in this position, each applicant must fully justify on their application how they meet each KSA listed. Ensure that you have included beginning and ending (month and year) for all jobs listed on your resume.
1. Ability to plan and organize the work of the assigned repair organization.
2. Ability to meet deadlines.
3. Knowledge of heavy mobile equipment repair functions.

WS-14 requires 36 months of specialized experience.
