Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)
We develop software to optimize workflows associated with video creation, preparation, and delivery. We are looking for a self-driven, world class software engineer to assist in taking our web applications to the next level. You should be proactive and foster an entrepreneurial spirit. You will be collaborating with a team of other engineers using agile methodologies and test-driven development to:
stabilize existing web applications through refactoring and simplification;
add and improve features driven by empirical analysis; and
continually optimize our cloud infrastructure.
All new code is written using Ruby on Rails, HTML5 (Haml), CSS3 (LESS), JavaScript (jQuery, CoffeeScript), and MySQL (with some MongoDB). We have code in Python, specifically Pylons, that is actively being ported to Rails. You will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of the applications ranging from automated, asynchronous tasks and auto-scaling to RESTful API optimizations and AJAX-driven UI enhancements.

Experience with LESS, CoffeeScript, and/or other front-end frameworks.
Cloud experience, especially Amazon AWS.
Basic experience in Adobe Photoshop slicing images (especially sprites) for frontend web development.
Bonus
Experience with MongoDB.
Experience with Puppet (especially Boxen) or similar configuration management system (such as Chef).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
