POSITION SUMMARY The Acima business has created the position of Competitive Intelligence Analyst to inform decisions regarding performance and execution in our business through investigation of competitor activities including but not limited to operating models, deployment of technology, marketing & sales, customer facing offerings and geographic retailer presence.
Reporting to the EVP of Acima, this position will collaborate closely with internal functions and departments including Product, Technology, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Field Sales, and Data Science to gather, synthesize and report critical insights to effectively position Acima as the VLTO provider of choice.
The Competitive Intelligence Analyst will have a clear understanding workflows and underwriting initiatives across the industry.
The incumbent will serve as the key subject matter expert on competition in the VLTO space and further serve as a consultative resource to our deployed field sales teams and to Upbound/Acima leaders managing the business.
The incumbent will provide on-going communication to influence and improve the level of competitive knowledge, thus supporting performance and confidence in the Acima platform and overall execution excellence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide direct competitive subject matter expertise to Acima's leaders through investigation and engagement with the players across the VLTO space Engage with end user clients of Acima's offerings including merchants and customers taking advantage of the rent to own product Continuously develop, gather and analyze competitive information while partnering with Business Intelligence to create rhythmic reporting around findings including offering details and any fast-breaking developments (both quantitative and qualitative) that will have a bearing on Acima's market position Accountable for ensuring that Acima's leadership is fully abreast of competitive offerings and programs through grassroots engagement with competitive applicant technology embedded at merchants.
Leverage and tailor the current data gathering initiatives of the business including the current Voice of the Customer survey program Support the Acima EVP and other senior Acima and Upbound leaders to translate competitive intelligence into business objectives and thus actionable efforts by coworkers within field sales and beyond Partner internally with Field Sales, Product, Business Intelligence, Technology, Marketing and Strategic Initiatives leaders/peers, to influence and execute cross-functionally, ensuring the continuous improvement of the customer experience for both merchants and lease customers as well as overall Acima brand awareness Travel as required to meet clients and intelligence sources for the express purpose of gaining direct experience and knowledge of on-site programs and competitive behaviors Codify the reporting and delivery of intelligence around existing and evolving competitive initiatives to ensure management has optimal information to inform shifts in business strategy or tactical approaches KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 5
years applicable experience in a competitive intelligence role with responsibility for supporting the strategic decisions of senior executives 3

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
