Responsibilities:
Prepare, process, and maintain facility census to include reconciliation to Midnight Shift Report, enter payer changes, and adjust payer information and revenue, accordingly, following facility guidelines.
Track and review all Admissions Financial Folder documentation immediately upon admission.
Administers and prepares all reports and logs relating to benefits administration.
Prepare daily deposits received at the facility.
Prepare and post daily deposits for Resident Trust Account, reconcile monthly, close accounts for discharged residents, follow up on outstanding checks.
Scan all documents for Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care billing and coordinate with team when census, authorization, etc.
entries are complete and ready for billing.
Review Consolidated Invoices and forward approved invoices with appropriate pricing for posting to Resident Accounts Perform Triple Check and coordinate with Specialist when all corrections are made.
Reconcile, process, and report month-end close per facility month-close procedures.
Handle resident and family inquiries.
Generate and submit statements per the following:

Qualifications:
1-3 years of medical billing and collections in a long-term healthcare environment required.
Presents a neat appearance with a pleasant speaking voice and personality.
Must be punctual.
Works with a minimum of supervision.
Discusses any problems, needs, or concerns which arise with the Administrator.
Attends in-service educational classes and on-the-job training programs as directed.
Must have thorough knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Pending, Applied Income, and Managed Care reimbursement regulations.
The ability to manage multiple priorities; possess effective communication skills and have ability to work well in a high-pressure environment.
Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and billing/eligibility software solutions:
Point Click Care, etc.
Understands and upholds the Residents' Bill of Rights and holds all resident information confidential.
Keeps all employee information confidential.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
