Lead Seafood Specialist
GENERAL PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to sell Harmons' fresh seafood by providing remarkable customer service. This person will be educating and assisting customers at the seafood counter, stocking the seafood case, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the seafood area, actively promoting and sampling products at the seafood case and throughout the store, stocking the seafood area and training new seafood associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the seafood area provides
Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the seafood case
Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all seafood case products, paying particular attention to ad items
Ensures the seafood area is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
Cuts fish, steams shrimp, prepares seafood salads and shrimp platters for sale
Cleans and sanitizes dishes used in the seafood area
Receives and stocks product in the seafood area
Delivers excellent service to all customers
Educates customers about ingredients, taste, etc. of Harmons' fresh cut seafood products
Actively promotes the seafood products through sampling at the seafood case and throughout the store
Assists with inventory and ordering of seafood products
Receives and stocks product for the seafood area
Teaches, mentors and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team
Provides honest, direct and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement
Assists as needed to ensure the success of the meat department as a whole
