General Summary of Position
The Social Engagement Specialist is responsible for all daily posts/tweets to all applicable social media outlets (facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest, youtube). The candidate will interact with customers and fans in real time on various social platforms. Other duties include tracking social media influence, coordinating the marketing calendar with online activity, ensuring consistency of messages across all the social platforms, and continuous monitoring and coverage of all sites. They will effectively coordinate with the Brand Content Manager and the Community Marketing Director to ensure that the brand and 'voice' of GOAL ZERO communicates the desired message across all platforms. The candidate will have expert knowledge of social networking channels, excellent verbal and writing skills, a sharp wit and a willingness to work during nonstandard business hours. Prior experience in customer service, advertising, public relations or online marketing is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
Daily maintenance- engage in dialogue, start conversation, answer questions
Content Calendar- plan and execute communication for all daily posts, product launches, holidays, events editorial postings, etc.
Identify and implement new platforms
Monitor trends, tools and applications
Implement new ideas/promotions
Follow the comprehensive social media strategy to increase visibility, membership and traffic to all social sites
Experience with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities
Measure the impact of social media on the overall marketing efforts
Promotions of new content including posts, tweets, infographics, blog posts and videos (youtube)
Organization
-Reports directly to the Brand Content Manager and Community Marketing Director
