Accounting Specialist
Description:
The Accounting Specialist will provide support to all accounting areas, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, dispute resolutions, and customer service.
Duties:
Provide timely and accurate payment processing for both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Input general ledger entries for account changes
Must be proficient in processing invoices and posting to accounts
Must be comfortable interacting with clients to inquire and collect on outstanding invoices
Performs journal entries
Responds to and resolves inquiries
Runs and prepares routine financial reports
Ensures accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all accounting transactions processed
Conducts research on discrepancies and makes appropriate corrections or adjustments
Generates necessary reports
Qualifications:
Position requires 2-3 years of experience in accounting and accounts payable/receivable. Knowledge of accounting procedures, solid Excel and Word skills, exposure to automated accounting systems, excellent attention to detail, strong analytical, technical and logical thinking skills, strong problem solving skills, ability to work directly with people at multiple levels of the organizations, ability to work under pressure and to coordinate multiple priorities and respond to challenging situations.
