Medical Coding Specialist
South Summit Pediatrics is looking for a part-time medical billing/coding Specialist. The medical insurance billing and coding specialist is responsible or accurate and timely claims submissions and processing. Duties includes but not limited to receiving and reviews charge documents from provides, ensures charge information provided is correct and accurate, charge entry into billing system, works in conjunction with A/R on follow up and resolution of coding related denials and rejections, maintaining current knowledge of coding guidelines and relevant federal regulations through the use of current CPT-4, HCPCS II, and ICD-9/ICDD-10 materials.
Certificating and licensing:
(can be any of the following)
Certified Coding Specialist through governing body AHIMA
Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P)
Certified Professional Coder - (CPC) through AAPC
