Game Developer Internet & Ecommerce - Draper, UT at Geebo

Game Developer

Job Description
We at Fleet Productions are hard at work developing a horror game in the Unity3D development environment. If you have a passion for game development, playing games, and/or testing games, you may be a great fit. To be absolutely clear, currently, this is an unpaid part-time passion project for everyone involved. A good amount of money and time has been invested into assets and licensing already, and development is moving forward.
We are working towards getting the game on Steam Greenlight, but this is unpaid work for all of us, however, it is a great way to build a resume and get your feet wet in game development if you're unsure you want to pursue that kind of career. That being said, we're looking only for those who are willing to dedicate time and effort to creating something we can all be proud of.
We are looking for three positions at the moment, they are as follows:
1. 3D Designer - Someone who can create, rig, and mesh 3D custom assets into Unity3D using Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max. If you have only the skills to complete one of those steps, we would still love to speak with you. This person should have at least one year of experience within a 3D editor.
2. Level Designer - Someone who can work with the Unity3D engine to assemble, prefabricate, and work with assets and objects to ensure a smooth and immersive gaming experience. This person should also have a strong background in gaming experience with a great vision for gameplay. This person should have ideally at least 1 year of experience with Unity3D.
3. Programmer - Someone who can read, write, and understand intermediate to advanced level C# code and has a background working with Microsoft's Visual Studio IDE. This person should also have a working knowledge of repositories and general version control. This person should have at least one year of experience working with C#.
Responsibilities
All team members participate in regular weekly meetings over Discord with an in-person meeting usually occurring once a month. All members work weekly on task lists and discuss the progress during those meetings. Everyone is expected to complete those task lists within deadlines that are easy to meet. This ensures continuous progression and commitment to finishing the project. This is part-time work, but we expect any applicants to stay just as passionate and committed as we are. We are looking only for members who are looking to stay through the duration of the project, this isn't contract work.
Qualifications
Other than the requirements and expectations explained above, there are a few other basic ones we have:
1. College education at any level is a big plus, but certainly not required.
2. Must be 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States and State of Utah.
3. No past felony conviction of any kind.
4. Willing to sign an NDA upon agreement of participation in the program.
5. Be a team player with a friendly and outgoing personality.
6. Have your own hardware and internet connection capable of game development.
If you think you'd be a good candidate for our team, please apply through KSL or email your resume with a brief cover letter to fleetprod@gmail.com and we'll contact you.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
