Here are some of the highlights and details of this Senior System Administrator (SSA) position: The SSA at Alpine Home Medical is responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, performance tuning, maintenance and recovery procedures for IT systems. The SSA also investigates and analyzes system requirements and develops system specifications. Also responsible for identifying IT solutions and providing leadership in order to deliver a high and reliable level of service.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues that our users encounter
Manage the configuration and maintenance of computer operating systems; including software releases, patches and system upgrades
Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security issues, network lapses, troubleshooting and functionality.
Create and verify backups of data
Respond to and resolve help-desk requests efficiently and in timely manner
Administrate infrastructure; including networking, VoIP, firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other data integrity processes
Review application logs
Install and test computer-related equipment
Ability to respond to help-desk tickets and requests after hours (as needed)
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
BS degree in IT or /Computer related degree preferred.

years experience in system administration
Advanced knowledge/experience of system vulnerabilities and security issues
Basic understanding of HIPPA guidelines
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the medical field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in a flexible, dynamic work environment.
Work Environment Physical Requirements
Provide on-call support during off hours (as needed)
Some scheduled night and weekend work is required (system upgraded, maintenance, etc.)
Moderate lifting of computer equipment (40-50 lbs.)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
