Cybersecurity Engineer I
Job Description
StratoZen is looking for people with high aptitude, work ethic and drive that want to enhance their IT career with learning cybersecurity. StratoZen will train those with basic computer and networking backgrounds to be cybersecurity engineers. Cybersecurity is the fastest growing area in tech and one of the best paying and this is the opportunity for those that have been looking to get into this exciting career to get started. Full time is preferred but part time is also available. Flexible hours and working from home may be available. Cybersecurity Engineers will be part of our team deploying security information and event management (SIEM) solutions and monitoring client devices for security related threats and breaches. Employees have the opportunity to work with some of the largest IT managed service providers in the U.S. and elsewhere. Employees are training on some of the most sophisticated cybersecurity tools on the market and learn how to identify, escalate and remediate malicious activity. Employees will learn various compliance and best practice requirements based on standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GLBA/FFIEC, and many others.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will include the monitoring of systems for cybersecurity breaches, suspicious or malicious activity and escalating as needed. As the employee gains skills they will be responsible for assisting with the deployment of new partners, clients and devices through the SIEM. Rule modification, notification pathways, and other SIEM configuration management will be required as training and skill grows.
Qualifications
Understanding of IT Networking a requirement. A
certification and other certifications are beneficial as well. An understanding of TCP/IP is needed. With a base level computer/networking background and a great attitude, work ethic and high aptitude, we can train you in the fastest growing and most interesting area of computer science (Cybersecurity).
