Apple II Disk II 5.25in Floppy Drive A2M0003, Cleaned for sale in Draper, UT

1 of 1
For sale is a Apple Computer Disk II drive, for use on the Apple II, Apple II Plus, Apple IIe or Apple IIgs. This drive is in excellent condition. It has undergone the following procedures: 1) Drive speed adjusted properly 2) The drive head, cam and sliders have all been cleaned, this is done by removing the heads so it can be done properly. 3) The drive alignment was tested after reassembly and if necessary adjusted. 4) All functions of the drive have been tested to make sure it reads, writes, formats and that the write protect switch is working properly. 5) The exterior of the drive is cleaned up, and is in good condition -- you can see a few paint chips shown in a couple of the photos. In order to test the alignment, I use a number of tools, including the Verbatim Datalife Disk Drive Analyzer, and a tool to do radial alignment tests which is compared to a very well aligned drive. In addition, I have a deck of 15 original software titles that I have found to have problems when booting/running from a misaligned drive. Each of these disks must pass the test in order for me to consider the drive well aligned. There are a number of shipping options on this item, please select the one that works best for you. With the Priority Mail (non-flat rate) and the Fed-Ex options I can get more padding in the box than with the Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate option, but any of the three should work fine. If you have any questions, please ask. DII-102
